On September 11th, 2001, FDNY Firefighter Tim Duffy was off duty, at home, working on his Harley Davidson motorcycle when terrorists hijacked a plane and flew it into one of the twin towers. Tim saw the second plane, hit the 2nd tower. Tim jumped on his Harley and rode to the fire station. The Firefighters on duty were already gone on their way to the twin towers. Tim grabbed his gear, jumped back on his bike and headed to the site to help. That's what first responders do. That's why American Heroes In Action honors our Firefighters and other first responders. As an organization, and as a nation, we will never forget. FYI, Tim's motorcycle is currently on display at the Harley Davidson museum in Milwaukee, WI.

We have good news to report for Veterans and first responders. Dave Proffit, American Heroes In Action President and Founder, tells AHIA News that, through July 31st, American Heroes in Action has held 38 adventures in 6 different states for 152 Veterans and first responders. Dave tells AHIA News that the organization already has 7 adventures planned for the month of August, and will take 37 participants on these adventures in 4 different states, including their first ever adventure in California. According to Dave, American Heroes in Action will be taking many more Veterans and first responders on adventures, this fall, as the weather cools down and hunting seasons start to open up. Finally, Dave says they would hold more adventures in Arizona if they had more help planning these adventures. Anyone who would like to plan an adventure and participate in the adventure, should email [email protected]

American Heroes in Action has two new drawings coming up. We're drawing one winner for a fully guided moose hunt in Maine, and one winner for a fully guided, ladies only, cow elk hunt in Wyoming. Help us sell calendars for the Monday Gunday drawings and you could win a hunt. After tonight, there are still 24 prizes left to win. Prizes from Browning, Smith & Wesson, Mossberg, Wi******er, Savage, Ta**us and more. Your ticket will be in every drawing we have for the rest of the year. Even if you win 1 gun, your ticket goes back in for a chance to win again. If you buy a calendar for yourself, you name goes into the drawing for the hunt. If you can get friends and family to buy a calendar, we'll give you another entry in the drawing. Just have your friends add your name in the Notes section of the order form. Here is a link to order your calendar - https://www.americanheroesinaction.org/product/61gungiveaway/ The calendars are $100, that's about $4.16 per drawing if you get in before next Monday. Feel free to share this post and get your friends and family to help us out.

The July issue of the newsletter is about ready to go to the printer. What photo do you think we should use for the cover? Should we use the photo of Matt, the Guide, and Toren, with the Sturgeon Toren caught? Should we use the photo of the ladies only rafting trip, as the ladies create a big splash going through the rapids? Comment with your choice for cover photo. Would you like to see more photos and read the stories of all the adventures from April, May and June of this year. Get 4 issues of the newsletter delivered to your mailbox as part of your annual membership. You also get a free AHIA baseball cap or AHIA Challenge Coin. The 4 quarterly newsletters, and cap, or coin, are all yours for just $36. Get your annual membership today at https://www.americanheroesinaction.org/product/one-year-membership-free-cap/
