Come and see a restored 1800’s Water Wagon

Clay Historical Association’s Open House will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, from 1-3pm at Clay Historical Park, 4939 NY 31. CHA will be revealing an 1800’s water wagon that was recently restored for the first time to the public. A must-see event!
All buildings will be open and manned by CHA volunteers: Cigarville train station, replica 1800’s log cabin, visitor center, and 1800’s Sellen-Wellen barn. Every building houses many artifacts that have been donated to CHA by Clay residents past and present. All are welcome!

This photo, undated and unidentified except for this note “Phoenix Men’s Team” is probably from 1940-1960’s. Anyone recognize these fellows? They are holding trophies, but we don’t know from what sport. Softball? Bowling?

The historical society will have a table outside the Can Make Money Redemption Center (located in 3 Rivers Plaza in Phoenix) from 12pm - 4pm on Wednesday, June 17th. Historical maps and other items will be available. Come out and support this great local business and learn about our mission and the Phoenix River Rat 10K Run.
