🇺🇸 Honoring the Colors 🇺🇸

The Future First Responders of America Color Guard had the honor of presenting the Colors today at the Run to the Pines Car Show.

This is an exceptional team of young men and women who take great pride in honoring our American flag and representing their communities with respect, discipline, and dedication.

We couldn’t be more proud of these young First Responders. They continue to show that leadership, service, and patriotism are values worth carrying forward to the next generation.

Job well done, Color Guard! 🇺🇸👏

Damon Thompson #1417 served as a Junior Firefighter with Concho Fire Department before becoming a professional Firefighter/EMT. Damon also made history with FFROA as the very first Junior/Cadet to become a Unit Director, serving the Apache County youth in Concho for the Future First Responders of America organization.

On September 14, 2025, Firefighter/EMT Damon Thompson tragically lost his life in the line of duty alongside his partner, Firefighter/Paramedic Brenna Kulikowski.

As first responders, we never expect something like this to happen. Unfortunately, it is a reality of the profession.

Those who choose a career in public safety do so because of a passion for service. It is rarely about the paycheck. It is about answering the call, helping others, protecting our communities, and being there when people need us most.

Damon was one of those people.

He dedicated himself to the profession he had dreamed of becoming a part of his entire life. He also gave his time and experience to our youth, helping the next generation of Future First Responders learn what it means to serve with commitment, integrity, and honor. Our Cadets know this up front and are respectful in the way they follow in his footsteps.

Damon and Brenna made the ultimate sacrifice doing what they loved.

We will never forget Director Thompson — or, as we proudly knew him, Firefighter/EMT Thompson. His impact on FFROA and the young people he mentored will continue to live on through the Cadets he helped guide.

You made us proud, Sir.

Rest easy, Firefighter/EMT Thompson. Your service, your sacrifice, and your legacy will never be forgotten.

🚑 Training. Preparedness. Service. Leadership. 🚒
Our Recruits and Cadets of Future First Responders of America are hard at work renewing their CPR and First Aid certifications!

Every FFROA Cadet receives training in CPR, First Aid, and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) fundamentals through FEMA. These skills give our youth the knowledge and confidence to respond when their families, communities, and fellow citizens need help.

We are proud to invest in the next generation of first responders—one skill, one certification, and one young leader at a time. 🇺🇸

A special thank you to Officer Yazzie with Navajo County Corrections for providing an outstanding class on careers in Corrections, as well as techniques involving inmate transport, security, and officer safety.

Our Cadets thoroughly enjoyed your presentation and the opportunity to learn about another important career path within the public safety profession. The hands-on training gave them valuable insight into the responsibilities, procedures, and safety considerations involved in Corrections.

And a special thank you to Color Guard Commander Allen for stepping up and playing the part of the detainee during the demonstration! 👏

Job well done by everyone!

We appreciate the time, knowledge, and professionalism you shared with our Future First Responder Cadets and Recruits.

Honoring the Colors 🇺🇸

Our elite Future First Responders of America Color Guard (ri**es) is pictured here doing a quick practice before assisting the flag barriers posting the colors as a team for the Annual Salvation Army Fundraiser.

Our Color Guard is frequently asked to present or post the colors at events throughout the White Mountains and across Arizona. What many people may not realize is the level of dedication, discipline, and attention to detail these young men and women put into this responsibility.

They understand that carrying, presenting, posting, and guarding the American flag is more than simply performing a ceremony. It is a responsibility that demands respect, precision, and honor.

The Future First Responders of America Color Guard will always remain dedicated to preserving the dignity and respect our American flag deserves—and honoring everything it represents.

Proudly serving. Proudly representing. Proudly honoring our colors.
