Today, members of Troop 39 proudly participated in the Memorial Day parade. We extend our deepest gratitude to all members of our military — past, present, and future. Boston trip to the State House for the official reading of the Scouting Annual Report—what a day. Afterward, we hit the Freedom Trail and logged 8 miles of exploring.

Plenty of laughs, a little goofing around, and a lot of great memories made along the way.

Huge thank you to Red Apple Farm for keeping us fueled during the journey!

Troop 39 uses Lamb City Campground quite a bit. Jackson Leano took an idea from National Honor Society in school and turned it into a project to clean up the clogged up pond / spillway. He recruited Troop 39 to the task. Here’s day 1 cleaning the spillway. Tomorrow is cleaning the walking paths. Seabase back in last April really opened the troops eyes to the need to protect our waterways.

Troop 39 had a great time at their annual camp-in at Congregational Church of Phillipston! Alongside the Cub Scouts, they pitched in for their yearly full church cleaning—always a great way to give back to the community and chip in with labor for a current Eagle Project.

The weekend was packed with good food and even better company—lasagna dinner, pancakes breakfast with just the right amount of chocolate chips, and burgers and hot dogs for lunch.

Most of all, it was awesome to see the friendships, teamwork, and fun that make these moments so memorable.

Great day to get outside! Troop 39 hiked 6.26 miles from Lamb City to Red Apple Farm and back. A few snow flurries kept things interesting, but there were plenty of laughs along the way.

And of course, the stop at the farm store for treats never disappoints! 🍎🥾
