The Phillipsport Community Center Association, Inc.

is a community-based volunteer resource center located in the rural Mamakating Valley area of Sullivan County, New York. Our mission is to identify, develop, and facilitate caring and vital support services which are not provided by our local government or community. We work as a community regularly toward the enhancement of the quality of life for all members of our community through social, educational, recreational, and health programs.

The Town of Mamakating has proposed a new law regulating short term rentals like Aibnb in the town. There was one meeting last Tuesday at the town Hall in Wurtsboro. It was attended by an. overflow crowd. The next meeting is Dec.1st . They are accepting letters of comment. Many stores in Wurtsboro believe the people who rent are good for local businesses because the people who rent spend money locally.
