🚨 URGENT: LOST CAT IN ALBEMARLE, NC (EASTERN MOST PART OF THE CHARLOTTE METROPOLITAN AREA!) PLEASE HELP FIND BUSTER! 🚨

Sweet Buster (who is a Laps and Naps alumni) darted out the door last weekend and hasn’t been seen since. His family (Samantha) is heartbroken and desperately trying to bring him home. 💔

They’ve searched, distributed flyers, contacted the shelter, knocked on doors, set traps, and placed food, shelters, and familiar scents around their property. Despite all their efforts, Buster is still missing.

🐾 Buster’s Details:

* Gray tabby, approximately 14 lbs
* 10+ years old
* Neutered male with a tipped ear

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Because Buster has a tipped ear, someone might mistake him for a stray or community cat. He is a beloved, missing pet who needs help getting home!

📍 Last seen: Love Street, Albemarle, NC 28001

📞 If you see Buster or have any information, please call 828-384-5992 immediately.

Please share this post, especially with anyone in the Albemarle area. Every share, sighting, and lead could make the difference in bringing this sweet senior boy home. 🙏🐾

Let’s help Buster find his way back to his family! ❤️

🐾 Meet Gypsy! (SPECIAL NEEDS SENIOR)🐾

Sweet 13-year-old Gypsy is looking for a loving new home. 💕 At just 6.8 lbs, this beautiful tabby is a gentle, curious senior who loves Cat TV, cozy cat beds, and long naps.

Gypsy’s beloved guardian is moving into hospice care, so she is sadly in need of a second chance. Gypsy is DEAF, but she has adapted wonderfully and uses her other senses to navigate the world. She is afraid of the dark, so a small light should be left on for her at night.

Gypsy is healthy, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She comes with her medical records and has recently received preventative treatment for fleas, ticks, roundworms, and ear mites.

This sweet senior deserves a quiet, cozy home where she can feel safe and loved for the rest of her days. 🩷

📍 Location: Flat Rock (South central Henderson County in Western NC)
🐾 13 years old | 6.8 lbs | Deaf | Domestic Shorthair Tabby

Could you be Gypsy’s forever family or foster? 🏡🐱

Spay and neuter awareness matters.

Every community cat that is spayed or neutered means fewer kittens being born outdoors and another step toward stabilizing our community cat population.

You may not trap.
You may not foster.
You may not volunteer.

But you CAN help spread the word.

One share could reach a neighbor who is feeding community cats and doesn’t know where to turn for help.

Help us reach more people throughout Charlotte and the surrounding communities.

SHARE to spread spay/neuter awareness! 🐾💛

UPDATE 10/7: ADOPTED VIA ANOTHER RESCUE!

Meet Obi 🖤

Location: Morganton, NC (Burke County, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains along the Catawba River)

Obi is a sweet, playful 10-year-old black cat looking for a new home. He is friendly and affectionate, enjoys sitting in laps, getting pets and snuggles, and loves playing with toys. He also enjoys watching the world from windows and being part of his person’s daily activities.🖤

Obi has lived with another cat and does well with easygoing cats, although he does like to steal their food! He has never been around dogs, children, or been outdoors. He may be a little shy at first while he gets comfortable.🖤

Obi is currently 17 lbs and overweight, so a healthy weight-loss plan will be important. He has excellent litter-box habits and prefers having two boxes.🖤

Obi came into care after his former owner was removed from the home and was no longer mentally able to care for him. A family member paid for Obi to receive veterinary care, and his former owner’s family has been given full authority to surrender and rehome him.🖤

Obi is a loving boy who has lots of love to give. 🖤🐾

Foster application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/NAPS/Cat

Please reach out if you have a spare room with a window. Laps and Naps covers vet bills and provides food and litter.

Thanks for sharing 🖤

Little Bit is the only survivor! 💔🐾

📍 Asheville, NC

Little Bit is a senior girl who desperately needs a special foster home. She is at least 17 years old, the only survivor of a group of strays, and so we are looking for a foster who can keep her safely indoors.

Little Bit was part of a group of strays who were cared for by a kind person at their place of employment. They were fed, provided heated cat houses, wormed, flea-treated, and all eventually fixed through Friends2Ferals. Sadly, Little Bit is the only one left.😿

Despite everything she has been through, Little Bit is a sweet girl who is simply lonely and wants love and pets. ❤️ She can be timid with strangers at first, but with a little patience, she warms up.

🙏 Please share Little Bit’s story or reach out if you can foster her. She deserves to spend her golden years safe, warm, loved, and indoors. 🏠

🩺 Laps and Naps will cover her veterinary expenses while she is in foster care.

🐾 Foster Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/NAPS/Cat

🙏🏼 Please help us find Little Bit the loving foster home she deserves. ❤️

HSUC Family, we need you right now!
We have animals who need a safe place to land and we urgently need more foster homes to say yes.
Fostering doesn’t mean you have to have it all figured out. It means opening your home for a little while and giving an animal the space, care and consistency they need until their next step comes.
If you’ve ever thought about fostering, this is the time to reach out. And if fostering isn’t possible for you, share this post to put this opportunity in front of someone who could help.
Help us say YES!
