Today was a VERY special day at the Firth Youth Center!

As an unexpected surprise, we were able to take a group of our kids to visit the construction site at McWane Field at the Michael J. Weirsky Park, making them the FIRST KIDS EVER to step foot on the property!🤩

Randy Zeis from Fields, Inc. and Conor O'Brien from Legacy Construction Management took the time to show them all the exciting features, explain the construction process, and, of course, answer questions! Their willingness to include our kids in this experience made the afternoon so meaningful.

Watching our kids explore the property, ask questions, and imagine what’s to come was a powerful reminder of WHY this project is truly groundbreaking for our deserving P'burg kids. It's about more than a field... it's about creating opportunities, strengthening our community, and giving our kids a place where they can grow, learn, play, and DREAM BIG. The Firth Youth Center will never lose sight of that.💙

A HUGE thank-you to Randy and Conor for making this opportunity possible and helping our kids feel like a part of this incredible project from the beginning. We are so grateful!

Off school for NJ Teacher Convention? COME TO THE FYC FOR A FUN-FILLED AFTERNOON 🥳🥳🥳

The Firth Youth Center is excited to host OWN YOUR OUTCOME, an empowering youth event, on Thursday, November 5th from 12-4pm!

This engaging, interactive afternoon is designed to give you the tools and resources to take charge of YOUR future. 💪🎉 PLUS, we'll have tons of giveaways, awesome prizes, AND a catered lunch from Chick-Fil-A!

Activities include a Hydration Station with ShopRite, Da Vinci Science Center's Interactive Lung and Va**ng Demonstration, Basketball Skills and Drills with Mr. G, Yoga Movement with Miss Kim, Positive Affirmations with Phillipsburg Middle School REACH Staff, Community Agencies including TriCountyCMO, DASACC, Center for Family Services, Abilities of Northwest NJ, and STAR Community Health, AND a Minding Your Mind speaker who will be sharing her story! 👏👏👏
This event is completely FREE and open to all Phillipsburg AND Sending District youth in grades 6th-8th.

If you're a 7th or 8th Grade girl looking to hone your skills before the Basketball Season, come to the FYC for Open Gym on Wednesdays 7:45-9pm. This opportunity will be run by former PHS Basketball Players! 🏀

Don't forget...the Punt Pass Kick (PPK) Event is BACK in P'BURG for the Fourth Year! 💪🏈

Punt, Pass, Kick (PPK) is a popular youth skills competition in American football that has a history dating back to 1961. The competition has been a significant part of American football's grassroots development, helping to foster a new generation of players and fans while promoting the values of fair play and skill development.
The event will be held at the Firth Youth Center on Saturday, October 24th starting at 11am. Registration is LIVE and can be found at www.FirthYouthCenter.com/ppk.

Youth ages 9-13 from the Town of Phillipsburg and surrounding sending districts are eligible to participate in the competition. Each child will receive two chances to see who can Punt, Pass, and Kick the farthest distance. The top 3 of each bracket will be recognized in front of a packed crowd at Maloney Stadium during the Friday, October 30th PHS Football Home Game! Bracket winners will then go head-to-head against Easton on Monday, November 23, 2026. 👏

Happening at the FYC THIS Fri-Yay! 🎃💛👻

Open to Grades 3rd-5th. All youth must have a 2026-27 Parental Consent/Emergency Contact form completed. Copies are available on our website or at the FYC Front Desk. No fees apply.

Fri-Yay Nights are BACK for the School Year... and we're kicking them off with a Halloween Dance on 10/9! 🎃👻

The night will include themed activities, temporary tattoos, dinner, structured gym games, and more! Costumes are optional, but encouraged. This is a FREE event!

All youth must have a 2026-27 Membership/Emergency Contact Form completed. Copies are available on our website or at the FYC. No fees apply. Fri-Yay Night events are hosted in partnership with the Phillipsburg Municipal Alliance.

The Firth Youth Center and Tri County Care Management Organization are excited to announce...Stronger Together: An Inclusive, Family-Centered Music Therapy Series 🥳💪🤍
This program will provide inclusive music classes tailored to accommodate and support the individual abilities and needs of differently-abled youth. Through music, participants will have opportunities to develop creativity, self-expression, communication, confidence, and social skills while building an appreciation for music in a nurturing and supportive environment. Stronger Together encourages parent/guardian and sibling participation, and is completely FREE to families!

Each session includes:
6:15-7pm: Enrollees will partake in music classes led by a certified, credentialed instructor from Unity Music in a classroom. Parents/guardians are encouraged to participate with their children or watch the session. Simultaneously, siblings will enjoy other physical activities led by FYC Staff in the Gym such as Relay Races, Knock-Out Basketball, or Kickball.
7-7:45pm: Families will reconnect in the Multipurpose Room to enjoy a catered family dinner and play an interactive game with prizes.

Registration for Session 1 is LIVE at: www.firthyouthcenter.com/strongertogether. Space is limited. A confirmation email will be sent to reserve the enrollee's spot.

Enrollees must be 8-12 years old and have a 2026-27 Membership/Emergency Contact Form completed.
Siblings participating in the program must be 6-17 years old and have a 2026-27 Membership/Emergency Contact Form completed.
Parents/guardians must fill out a 2026-27 Adult Membership Form.
Membership fees for "Stronger Together" participants are waived and the program is completely free to families.
