Last week during the Honor Graduates/Awards Night Program at Phillipsburg High School, the Trustees of the Bruce Lawrence Annual Scholarship fund awarded four $1,500 scholarships to the following 2024 Seniors:
1) Zachary Hardin will attend Moravian University and major in Business/Finance. He was an Eagle Scout from 2017-2024, a Varsity Soccer team member, and participated in clubs such as the Future Business Leaders, Ski Club, and Stateliners Support Our Troops.
2) Sarah Bronico will spend the next four years studying Biology or Sports Management at Kutztown University where she'll also compete as a member of the women's soccer team. In addition to being a member of the Varsity Soccer team for four years at PHS, she was also a member of the swim, lacrosse, and track & field teams. She has served as a class officer, a member of the National Honor Society, and ranked 30th out of 466 students in the Class of 2024
3) Sara Segeda will continue her studies at the University of Michigan and plans to major in Biology. Sara competed on the Varsity Volleyball and Softball teams during her time at PHS. She volunteered her time at the Firth Youth Center and as an Assistant Coach with the Lopatcong Athletic Association. As a member of the Girl Scouts and National Honor Society, Sara ranked 17th in her class.
4) Brady Cooper will enroll at the University of Delaware to major in Chemical Engineering. He participated in interscholastic athletics as a member of the Football and Lacrosse teams. Brady was a member of the National Honor Society, a volunteer for Operation Holiday, and an assistant coach for the Pohatcong Youth Football program. He was ranked 6th in the Class of 2024.
