Valley Voices, Philipsburg PA

Hi everyone. My life has settled down some and I am ready to restart Valley Voices. We will begin rehearsals in mid September, which I will post the exact date in a few days, and I look forward to working with you again! Please try and recruit from their community and spread the word. We will be performing a Christmas concert and hopefully at Heritage days as well. We just need singers. Please spread the word and join us and have some fun as we make music together.💕💕💕

Hi everyone. Regrettably with the budget cuts that are currently happening from DC, my husband has found his job at jeopardy (he works for a defense contractor), and with only 2 years left on our mortgage, his losing his job would be catastrophic to us. Therefore, I am returning to work full-time starting in May in the hospice/homehealth nursing field and can't start Valley Voices again until the Fall when life settles down for me. I'm hoping by them to only work 3 days a week instead of 5 (which involves 2 hours travel/day) currently.

I'm so sorry but I have to do this for my family and our financial security. I still plan to move the VV music to Trinity and promise all of you this is only a temporary situation that I am facing.

I really enjoyed working with all of you for our XMAS concert and promise we will be singing again in the future.

Take care and I'll keep you posted. Patty Coldiron asked me to keep VV going and I intend to keep that promise to her. In the meantime, please try and recruit new members for this Fall.

I have had nothing but rave reviews about our recent concert. We may have been small in number, but we sang our hearts out! If you're interested in joining Valley Voices we will resume practices in April on Tuesday nights at 7. Check the website for more info closer to that date. We'd love to have you!!! Our next concert will be for Heritage Days. We'd love to at least double our size for that concert. Please pass the word and consider singing with us!

Many thanks to the people who came to hear our Valley Voices concert today! We had about 60 people attend the concert (not counting the 18 in the choir) and about 90 people who listened to the live streaming of our concert. Many thanks for Nate Myers for accompanying the choir and the Jonathan and Bonnie McNelis for streaming the concert and helping with the sound system and Trinity United Church and its members for hosting our concert and rehearsals! It takes a village and I am so appreciative to the singers for their faith in me. I hope we can grow in size when we reassemble in April to prepare for Heritage Days. Please pass the word! We also received a carful of donations for the food bank of Philipsburg from the attendees. Many thanks again for your support of this wonderful group of singers.

If anyone from the Philipsburg or surrounding communities is interested in singing with our newly formed Valley Voices, please come on September 10th (Tuesday) at 7PM to Reed Hall at the Trinity United Methodist Church. This community choral group is a great way to meet new friends from around our area and reconnect with some old friends while raising our voice in song. Please pass the word and join us!
