Now that we are getting into float season, it is important that we hold each other accountable to keep our watershed clean by picking up trash in the water, on trails and in our small towns. That way we all can protect and enhance the rural lifestyles valued by our communities.

Last month GHWG helped NRCS host their local work meetings in Hall and Philipsburg to learn more about the resource concerns in Granite County. Thank you to all who helped and participated in the event. We had a blast and are excited for more events like this to help our county.

GHWG is hosting a public meeting with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP) and Drummond Kiwanis about Bear Awareness and Safety on Tuesday, February 21 at 6 PM at Drummond Community Hall. Bear activity in Granite County has increased in recent years, so FWP will be present on ways to recreate, live and explore within bear country.
