Good Morning, Scouters! This is a gentle "nudge" for all troops planning to participate in the Blue and Gray Reunion BSA Camporee June 2-5, 2022 in Philippi. Please send in the Registration Form so that we are able to plan accordingly for supplies, etc. We want to "Be Prepared" for this event and are looking forward to your assistance to do so!

Also, please be sure to sign up for the available times (via SignUpGenius, link below) as to your availability to volunteer some of your time to our efforts and to the efforts to GROW Scouting in our area (and beyond!)!

Hot off the Unit Guidelines...

Registration: The camporee is set up to be a 4 day event (June 2 through June 5, 2022) but units are welcome to arrive at any time up until Saturday morning (June 4th). There will be a registration station at the camp site Headquarters tent and parking is also available at the camp site. Please complete and return the registration sheet (included in the full Unit Guidelines...available upon requst) to Sam Muncy [email protected] or the Blue and Gray Reunion – BSA Camporee email address: [email protected] before May 19, 2022.

Costs: There are no costs involved to attend the camporee; the sponsor, “Sam and Sharon Enterprises” is assuming all expenses associated with this event. On Saturday, scouts will be visiting various Civil war presentations away from camp in downtown Philippi so pocket money would be advisable.

Some of the things to do and see..... chat with Civil War soldiers?..hold authentic Civil war weapons..learn 1800’s courtroom facts?.. hike through the only Covered Bridge on a US Highway Route 250 in WV..eat soldier’s stew and hard tack for lunch?
