We strive to create opportunities for women in all aspects of the theatrical process, give a voice to the silenced and create theatre for social change.

By developing inspiring work that investigates societal constructs, our aim is to cultivate theatrical discourse, while producing established contemporary plays, works by new and emerging artists and collective devised theatre. Both in relation

to the stage and in our society, our goal is to reset the feminist default and to explore the direction of the work when women and men, both cisgender and transgender, as well as genderqueer, collaborate on an equal playing ground. Company Members:

2020 has been a shot to the heart. I can’t take much more. Oh, RBG. An incredible champion for gender equality. A complete bad ass that did not take any crap from anyone. She stood her ground. She was one of only nine women out of 500 in her class at Harvard Law. Born to Russian-Jewish immigrants, she passed today on Rosh Hashanah, the beginning of the Jewish New Year. We are indebted to her work in civil rights and she will be sorely missed.

"In 2020, we are still collectively terrified of women, and especially of women of color, who dare to wield power. But unlike 1920, there are now a critical mass of women in our government who can stare that terror down and say, like Rep. Jayapal did, 'We are not going away. There are going to be more of us here.'"

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) eviscerated Rep. Ted Yoho (R-Fla.) on the House floor after he lobbed the insult at her. Here's a closer, uncensor...

With each day of continued protest over George Floyd 's killing and a growing widespread realization that for Black Americans, a "new normal" is one without ubiquitous bigotry, it has felt like a change is in the air. BLACK LIVES MATTER.

The murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery are only the most recent incidents of police violence and brutality perpetuated against the Black community. The systems that perpetuate police brutality and systemic racism in this country must be dismantled if we are to truly come to a place of freedom and liberty for all.

One way of dismantling these systems is by creating space for Black voices. It is also through education, listening, and allyship by white people.

While ReVamp has not been actively producing work, we will continue to advocate for Black voices to be heard in the arts and beyond. We all need to be better at making room at the table. It'll make the work more worth having. We will continue to post resources and voices that we MUST be amplifying - not just today but every day.

“The core question of adaptation is what do you keep that is magical and recognizable — and necessary for it to be essentially the same story, the same world, same characters — and what do we get the pleasure of changing?”

The first thing to go? Wendy’s warped maternal streak.

*A NOTE ON INCLUSION AT STATERA

Women: Statera recognizes the limiting nature of the binary use of woman. We serve and welcome anyone on the gender spectrum who identifies either always or some of the time as a woman. We also serve and welcome those who are non-binary, while recognizing that not all non-binary people identify with aspects of femininity.

Intersectionality: StateraArts works through an intersectional lens for gender parity. We understand and acknowledge that systems of oppression and discrimination are interdependent and span all social categorizations such as race, class, gender, ability, religion, parental status, size, age, and sexual orientation as they apply to a given individual or group. Addressing one spoke of systematic discrimination or disadvantage means holistically addressing them all.

Applications are open through february 1, 2020 Mentorship is at the core of Statera's mission of taking positive action to bring women* into full and equal participation in the arts. A flourishing mentor relationship helps both mentor and mentee organize their pr
