The end of an era is upon us.

Samuel Bonner, who served as Maintenance Engineer at Greater Philadelphia Community Alliance’s Dixon House, is retiring after nearly 45 years with our organization.

Sam has become an icon at GPCA and a staple not only at Dixon House but in South Philadelphia and beyond. He welcomed and assisted visitors of Dixon House in their times of need and joy. And when social events took place at the facility, Sam’s performances were legendary.

He was celebrated and awarded yesterday for his service, which included the 2nd Annual Delores Harper Impact Award for his dedication and diligent work within the South Philadelphia community.

Thank you for your service and support Sam. We will wholeheartedly miss you.
