On this Trans Day of Visibility, we are standing with trans people in truth and in defiance.

We reject the lie that q***r and trans people need to be corrected to be worthy of love or safety. Conversion therapy is violence, no matter what language is used to soften it.

We are grieving the harm that continues to be defended in public, in policy, and in the courts.

We believe trans people deserve not only visibility, but they deserve protection, affirmation, and the freedom to live fully as themselves. Trans Day of Visibility is not just about being seen. It is about refusing erasure.

We stand with trans people and with every q***r young person who deserves to be affirmed, protected, and loved as they are.

Perceptions (Vol. III) — the full night, from prep to runway to the after.
This show was built through collaboration: designers, models, dancers, stylists, glam, producers, volunteers, and community moving as one—sharing resources, problem-solving, and making care part of the production plan.

If you’re a designer interested in joining a future Threads Reimagined production, we’d love to hear from you. Reach out via DM or email [email protected] with a link to your work and what you’re excited to build.

“Ars gratia artis” — art for the sake of art

Elias Gurrola’s Perceptions (Vol. III) embodied that spirit.

SAS Project’s work is rooted in platforming q***r talent, and this production created nearly a dozen paid roles for q***r community members from Philadelphia to New York, spanning performance, production, and creative labor.

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the show. Special thanks to and for their generous donations and for helping make the night so memorable.

Today we begin Black History Month, a living history, shaped by resistance, care work, labor, creativity, and the pursuit of dignity. It’s unfolding every day.

At Sisters Affirming Sisterhood Project, we honor this legacy by centering gender affirmation, environmental justice, and workers’ rights because our liberation has always been interconnected.

This month, and everyday, we reflect. We remember. We recommit to building futures where Black people don’t just survive, but thrive.

🟢🏈 The Eagles playoff run ended, but COMMUNITY showed up.
Huge thank you to everyone who pulled up for the SAS Project Hot Dog Fundraiser at last Sunday. In just 3 hours, we raised $101 to help power our threefold mission: gender affirmation, environmental justice, and workers’ rights.

Every dollar, every share, every “I got you” matters. Philly really came through. 🌭✨
Stay tuned — more community days and fundraisers on the way.
