Thomas Jefferson Women’s Board of Philadelphia

Thomas Jefferson Women’s Board of Philadelphia Through its fundraising and volunteer activities, the Board contributes on an ongoing basis to worthwhile causes.

TJUH Women’s Board has provided comfort and care to hospitalized patients, their families, and the greater Jefferson community, while also funding global health projects led by Jefferson staff, faculty, and researchers. The Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (TJUH) Women’s Board was founded to provide for the comfort and care of Jefferson patients and to further the mission of the hospital in th

e surrounding community. From funding the NICU to supporting JeffHOPE and the Wig Program, the Women’s Board is proud to be a driving force for positive change. Over the last century, the Women’s Board has been actively involved at the hospital. We have raised millions of dollars to fund diverse projects through our fundraising and volunteer activities. A group known as the Board of Lady Managers was active within the Jefferson Medical College from 1892–1897. By 1907, the group had become the Women’s Auxiliary and, in 1925, the name was officially changed to the Women’s Board. We celebrated our Centennial Anniversary in 2007.
