We’re deeply honored to share that Azzim Dukes Initiative has been awarded a $20,000 Violence Prevention Microgrant from the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office as part of their latest round of community-focused funding. This award is part of a $375,000 investment in 45 local nonprofits working to address food and housing insecurity — two of the root conditions that deeply impact community safety and well-being.
This recognition is not just about the funding — it’s a validation of the work we do every day to uplift our community, strengthen families, and build pathways to stability and opportunity. We know that access to healthy food and secure housing are foundational to thriving lives, and we’re proud to be part of a broader ecosystem of organizations making tangible change.
We’re grateful for the trust placed in us and energized by the momentum this support brings. But this is just one step in a long journey. To continue expanding our impact, we need your support — whether through partnership, advocacy, volunteer engagement, or financial contributions.
👉 If you believe in empowering our community and addressing the root causes of violence with compassion and action, we invite you to join us. Let’s build safer, stronger neighborhoods — together.
Our Vice President of the Board Will Cooper accepted the award on our behalf.
