It’s National PA Week, and physician assistants are one of the fastest growing careers in healthcare.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects PA jobs will grow 21% from 2025 to 2035, with about 11,500 openings every year. The path takes a bachelor’s degree, hands-on patient care experience, a master’s level PA program, and a national certification exam.

To every PA showing up for patients this week, thank you. To every student wondering where healthcare could take them, this is one road worth looking at.

Somewhere in Philadelphia this morning, a five year old is finding their seat for the first time.

Grades 1 through 12 went back Monday. Kindergarten starts today. That first classroom is the beginning of a path that can end in a hospital, a clinic, a lab, or a classroom of their own.
