Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits are currently unavailable or delayed for low-income individuals and families across the country. This disruption to SNAP and many other social services has created an urgent food insecurity for unhoused and unsheltered individuals in Center City, who already face limited access to regular meals.
Starting this Wednesday, November 5th, the Center-Philadelphia will host a weekly Soup-To-Go meal distribution outside the Broad Street entrance of Arch Street United Methodist Church to offset the burden of the SNAP shutdown.
Each week through November (and longer if needed), unhoused and unsheltered neighbors can stop by for a cup of hot soup as well as a small snack or roll as available:
Wednesday 11/5 4-5pm
Wednesday 11/12 4-5pm
Wednesday 11/19 4-5pm
Tuesday 11/25 4-5pm (Adjusted for Thanksgiving.)
