Nashirah: The Jewish Chorale of Greater Philadelphia Nashirah. the Jewish Chorale of Greater Philadelphia

Nashirah is the only auditioned, community-based chorale in the Greater Philadelphia area that performs exclusively Jewish and Jewish-themed music. Our distinctive musical programming embodies the broadest possible range of Jewish repertoire, bringing choral music of many lands, languages and cultures together. Nashirah's unique performances offer wonderfully diverse music spanning the borders of many continents and the boundaries of time. Always striving for the highest degree of musicianship, we infuse our performances with 'neshama' - soul - with which we touch the hearts of our audiences. Nashirah's singers come from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware - we hail from all walks of life, and are united by a commitment to musical excellence, a love of singing all things Jewish, and a special desire to enable all listeners to experience the great beauty of the Jewish musical tradition. Chorales such as the Zamir Chorale of Boston, the Zamir Chorale of New York, and Zemer Chai of Washington have long been considered cultural treasures of their communities. So too, Nashirah is delighted to have the opportunity to share this beautiful art form and proud to be the seminal chorale of its type in the Philadelphia area.

Nashirah wishes you and your loved ones a peaceful and restful Shabbat.

Reflecting on our time in Prague ~3 weeks ago after receiving the beautiful pictures taken at the Jerusalem Synagogue - how lucky were we to have this experience with other Jewish singers from all over Europe?

Thank you again ❤️

Nashirah had an incredible time in Prague at the European Association of Jewish Choirs for the second year in a row, singing with 4 other incredible Jewish choirs from all over Europe: Coro Ha-Kol, Zemel Choir, Wiener Jüdischer Chor, L 'Ensemble Choral Copernic. We are so thankful to participate in such a meaningful festival with such a talented and resilient group of singers, conductors, and musicians.

More content to come, but in the meantime, we wish all of our friends and followers a wonderful summer! Stay cool! 🌞
