Buffalo Soldiers Social Club Phila, PA Organization of Women who pay homage to Private William Cathay aka Cathay Williams. She was the ONLY woman to serve in the US Army as a Buffalo Soldier.

Private Cathay Williams was the only woman to serve in the US Army as a Buffalo Soldier. On November 15, 1866 she enlisted in the Army as a man. Williams reversed her name William Cathay and lived as a male soldier and served until she was found out due to the last of many illnesses she suffered while a serving. She is the only documented black woman known to have served in the Army during these t

Hard to believe our beloved sista-friend Kiki Shepard has made her transition, completely unexpected. What a bright light and kind soul, always a giver. Her infectious laughter is what I will miss the most! Rest in Power, Queen!

This was written in 2016. An I still honor and respect her since the first day I joined in 2006. Doris Bess-Ruff AKA Doris Bess Cathay Williams you deserved more than you were ever credited for. She's done everything from the mud. She never asked for help, she went outta pocket or did fund raiser even with the proceeds gave back. She a selfless person and anybody who knows her can say how active she is. From feeding the homeless, health fairs/screening events. To doing valentine's gatherings at the seniors facility. She made sure Every senior was fed , entertained and received a gift. She didnt stop there , she gave just as much back to the youth. Her spirit and heart is unmatched. So today and everyday WE love you 99 cash aka 💯. That's what I call her since that how much of herself she gave. An has always kept it that way with everyone. Butter Kyle's can you make sure she see's this for me
