SOLEMNITY OF THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
“St Augustine says: “Before conceiving the Lord in her body she had already conceived him in her soul”. Thus, being God’s dwelling place on earth, in her the eternal dwelling place has already been prepared, it has already been prepared for ever.
-Pope Benedict XVI

"You exist in this world to give and to serve." - St. Sharbel
Catechesis is much more than teaching the faith—it is forming missionary disciples. Every catechist is called to give generously of their time, their witness, and their love so that others may encounter Jesus Christ.
Like St. Sharbel, we are reminded that our vocation is rooted not in seeking recognition, but in humble service. When we share the Gospel, accompany others in faith, and live what we teach, we become instruments of God's grace.
May the example of St. Sharbel inspire every catechist to serve with joy, humility, and a heart centered on Christ.
St. Sharbel, pray for us.
