Sharing this wonderful Japanese cultural event! Hope many of you can join and celebrate the Japanese Children's Festival!

Celebrate the health and happiness of children during a Japanese Children’s Festival on Saturday, May 9 from 5:15-7 pm!🎏

Bring the whole family to enjoy traditional live music, dance, a sword demonstration, and tasty treats as we celebrate Pan Asian American Heritage Month! 🌟

Musical artists feature the powerful drumming of Swarthmore College’s Taiko Ensemble as well as accomplished shamisen musician Amane Sakaguchi.

And be prepared to be dazzled by a demonstration of Japanese sword arts by Master Takaharu Fukuzawa! 🗡️

Children will be invited to make origami samurai helmets, create Koinobori kite streamers and learn the art of Kamishibai picture storytelling.

🌸 The evening will culminate in a festive Bon Odori dance!

📣 This event is geared toward families with children 2-12 years old.
