Five Dollar Friday!!!!
Meet Josephine! Little JoJo came to us after our friends at Kolony Kats reached out for help, hoping we could keep her from having to go to the shelter. Thanks to pledges from her supporters to help with her veterinary care, we were able to say yes.
When JoJo arrived, she was severely lethargic, dehydrated, anemic, and she was suffering from a terrible upper respiratory infection. She was given fluids right away and started on antibiotics and dextrose to help keep her blood glucose levels stable.
JoJo had no interest in eating, so she received around-the-clock care and monitoring, including syringe feedings, during her first 48 hours with us. But this little girl is proving to be a true fighter! Last night, JoJo ate on her own for the very first time! She also had a bowel movement and urinated… three small but incredibly important signs that she’s moving in the right direction. JoJo is currently eating Royal Canin USA Babycat food and is ready for a little more space now that she’s graduating from her hospital kennel! She’d love a larger enclosure where she can stretch her legs, walk around, and continue exploring as she gets stronger. If you’d like to help spoil this sweet girl with some get-well presents, our wishlist is linked in our bio. Every little bit of support means so much to JoJo and to us as she continues her journey to recovery!
