DELOREAN ANDREWS- YOUTH ADVISOR
Delorean began his career at Boeing in 2007. He has worked in multiple capacities including Sheet Metal Fabrication, Composites Fabrication, Aircraft/Instrumentation, and most recently, is working an assignment supporting The Republic of Singapore Air Force Experimental Program. He is also currently working on his Bachelor of Arts degree, Organizational Development and Leadership at Widener University. Delorean holds an Aircraft Assembly certification, and he has his Private Pilot License.
Delorean is very involved in the community with efforts such as NAACP of Chester (Executive Board Member), The Boeing Flying Club (Secretary) and Boeing REACH (Community Lead Volunteer). His passion for both community outreach in general and urban youth, specifically, is further evidenced by activities with Big Brothers, Big Sisters, The Boys and Girls Club of America (Mentor), Food Bank of Delaware, Special Olympics,
Delorean recently received the 2023 BEYA Modern Day Technology Leader award in Washington, DC and in 2022 received the People’s Choice Diversity Champion Award.

FRED WIRGHT-TECH ADVISOR
Fred Wright, Jr., a native of Shelby, North Carolina, attended undergraduate school at North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC, and received a B. S. degree with major in Mathematics. Following computer intern assignments while in college, Fred joined IBM Corporation as a Systems Analyst in New York City and later worked in related positions at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.
Fred graduated from U. S. Navy Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island, and served in Computer Systems Consolidation roles at the Naval Air Systems Command in Baileys Crossroads, Virginia, achieving the rank of Lieutenant as a U. S. Navy Officer.
Following military service, he studied at Columbia University Graduate School of Business and was awarded an MBA degree with concentration in Corporate Finance.
In addition to Information Technology, Fred pursued another career interest of Financial Management and Accounting with employment at General Electric (GE) and Lockheed Martin. Applicable positions included Corporate Financial Analyst (with GE’s Financial Management Program certification) and Accounting Manager.
Fred’s roles at SAP America enabled him to blend both career interests by implementing enterprise accounting systems and providing support for clients utilizing SAP Business Applications and Technology.
Fred and his wife Joretta first met as preteens in Shelby, NC, and married after completion of college studies. They are proud parents of two daughters Sonya and Natalie, and loving grandparents of grandson Evan.
Fred is a devoted member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, an accomplished Photographer and Videographer, and Co-Teacher of a Resume Writing and Job Search class. He has served as Trustee for the Catawba Memorial Hospital in Hickory, North Carolina, and is extremely excited to apply his talents and creativity to help tell authentic stories of Tuskegee Airmen Men and Women.

JAMES L THOMPSON JR.-PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER
James L. Thompson, Jr. was born in the town of Dothan, Alabama in Southeast Alabama. He graduated from Troy State University in Troy, Alabama with a B.S. and a master’s degrees in Secondary English Education. Upon completing college, James taught high school English at Henderson High School in DeKalb County Georgia near Atlanta. After four years of teaching, he resigned and joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as a Special Agent.
James served five years of distinguished service with the FBI and was stationed in two different field offices: Houston and New York. After five years, he resigned from the FBI and joined the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a Senior Special Agent in Dallas, Texas with EPA’s newly formed Criminal Investigation Division (CID). In 2001, James was transferred and promoted to the Special Agent-in-Charge of the Philadelphia CID Regional Office.
James retired from the EPA after 18 years of commendable service in 2007 and became a licensed Private Investigator in Montgomery County; he then formed Thompson Investigations and conducted insurance fraud investigations for five years in the Philadelphia area.
Simultaneously, from 2003 to 2010 James served as an Adjunct Faculty Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania where he created and presented a graduate level course on Environmental Justice, presenting case studies on criminal investigations and regulatory enforcement with Reginald Harris, a Senior Toxicologist with EPA.
James has pursued several outside interests with much success. As an actor and voiceover artist, he has appeared in numerous television commercials, industrial films, movies and print. His most interesting success came with his collaboration on independent films with Philadelphia area filmmaker Pat Taggart and their Alpaca Pictures short films. One of their films, “Charlie Applebee”, has won several national awards and James served as co-producer. Another of their films entitled “Bird Watching” won five major awards at the 2011 Philadelphia 48 Hour Film Festival; James was one of the primary actors in the film.
In 2010 James was the catalyst behind forming the independent film production company Abuzz Filmworks. That same year James wrote, directed and produced his first short film entitled, “The Coloring” under the Abuzz Filmworks umbrella and the film gathered a lot of attention. James has since begun work on his second short entitled, “The Model Airplane Club,” about the famed Tuskegee Airmen.
In 2020, James worked as a Census Field Supervisor for the 2020 Census. Later that same year he worked with Montgomery County Voter Services to help process ballots for the 2020 Presidential Election. In March 2021, James began working with Montgomery County Pennsylvania COVID-19 Vaccination Centers where he registered clients to be vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.
Also in 2020, James was invited to become a board member with the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. (GPCTAI) where he currently serves as the Director of Communications. In 2022, James was invited to become a member of the executive board for the American Heritage Federal Credit Union in Philadelphia.
James has also authored four books with his last two being, “Just My Imagination Running Away with Me” (2023) and “Love is like Glass Slippers (2024).” In August 2023, James started his own book publishing company, Peanut City Press, LLC and has since published two books under his new imprint. With all his recent success in book publishing, James is starting his first novel which he plans to be a murder mystery regarding a true cold case.
James is a 1976 charter member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity on the campus of Troy University, Troy, Alabama. Many people consider James to be an energetic Renaissance man with numerous talents.

ULYSSES S. VANCE II-HISTORIAN
Ulysses enlisted in the Air Force Reserves as an Apprentice Administrative Specialist, March 1957 and assigned to the New Castle Air Station. In January 1958, he re-enlisted in the Air Force and served his country until May 1963. Ulysses was assigned to the 84th Air Transportation Squadron, Travis AFB, CA and was reassigned to the 6930th Radio Group Mobile, Iraklion Air Station, Crete, Greece until his honorable discharge.
Ulysses has retired from all aspects of private security industry, and the City of Philadelphia, PA. An experienced qualified investigator with 30 plus years of combined services in the criminal justice field, “U.S.” as he was called, was a Security and History Team Research Specialist.
U.S. served with the Philadelphia Police Department; as an Assistant to the Director of Finance; and a Security Specialist Supervisor with the Philadelphia Housing Authority Police Department. He also served with the City of Tuskegee, AL, Police Department and the Public Safety Division, Tuskegee University, Tuskegee, AL.
While residing in Tuskegee, Alabama he served as Vice President of Negro International, Inc. (NAI). He was one of the founding members of the Board of Bureau of Tourism, in addition to helping failing students to hang-in-there at Tuskegee University.
U. S. is a Second Vice President and Historian with the Philadelphia Chapter of Tuskegee, Inc. He also served as Financial Secretary, Vice President and chapter’s Membership Chairperson. In 2019, he was elected to serve on the National Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. “Harry A. Sheppard Research Committee. (HASRC). In addition, Ulysses’ volunteer services include but not limited to: Civil Air Patrol, Squadron 108 Deputy Commander/Cadets; PA 772 AFJROTE West Philadelphia, High School Past Board Member, Conference of Minorities in Transportation, Philadelphia Founding Member.

DR. ALBERT BROWN- PARLIAMENTARIAN
Albert T Brown Jr Ed.D, was born in Malden, Massachusetts. He graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a bachelor’s degree in special education teaching. After receiving his degree, Albert taught Special Education classes at Southbury Training School in Southbury Connecticut. While teaching at Southbury Training School Albert pursued a master’s degree in special education administration from Southern Connecticut State University. After five years of teaching, Albert was promoted to Vocational Counselor and then State Department Head. Albert then pursued and was awarded a Doctoral degree in School Administration from Syracuse University. After completing his Doctoral degree, Albert worked as an administrator in a variety of educational settings. His last employment prior to retirement was as State Director for a private non-profit organization overseeing supported employment services for people with Developmental Disabilities. Albert also provided consultant services to St. John’s Community Services to support them in the administration of their Supported Employment programs.
While Albert was still active as an administrator, he was inducted into the 1999 Edition of International WHO’s WHO of professionals. Albert also has written several technical reports and articles which have been published in professional journals and was awarded an assistantship to prepare personnel in educating the disabled.
Upon retirement from formal employment, Albert pursued his many hobbies including his passion for motorcycling and antique automobiles. Albert serves on the Board of the Philadelphia Chapter of The Tuskegee Airmen as the Parliamentarian while telling the story of the Tuskegee Airmen and the many contributions they have made to this country.

AARON B. WATKINS-TREASURER
Aaron B. Watkins, a native of Memphis, Tennessee and a graduate of Melrose High School, enrolled at Tuskegee University in August 1963, majoring in Electronics with a minor in Business. Aaron made the Dean’s list while becoming a Commissioned Officer in ROTC and completing the Army ROTC Flight Instruction Program under Chief Charles Alfred Anderson (the chief instructor to the Tuskegee Airmen who flew Eleanor Roosevelt). Aaron became a member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity in the spring of 1965 and received his 50th year pin in 2015. He was inducted into Tuskegee University Sports Hall of Fame in 2013 for baseball. Aaron earned his A.A.S. Degree in computers from City College of Chicago and MBA in Business from the University of Detroit.
Aaron served in the United States Army as an officer in the Signal Corp / Aviation Branch, completed his aviation training for helicopters, received his wings, and was selected for advanced training for the Chinook Helicopter in 1968. CPT Watkins served in Vietnam in the Central Highlands as aircraft commander of the Chinook where he received the Bronze Star and the air medal. Returning to the United States, he was sent to Frankfurt, Germany as operation officer and later promoted to Company Commander of the Data Processing Company. CPT Watkins’ final assignment was as a Military Academy Liaison Officer for the US Military Academy at West Point, NY. Aaron is listed in the book “The 600 M.O.L. Black Helicopters Pilots in Vietnam” by Dr. Joe Ponds. The book states “There were 37,500 Army helicopter pilots trained, deployed and served in the Vietnam War of which only 600 were Black”. Aaron has several pictures in the book “Tuskegee in Philadelphia rising to the challenge” about the Tuskegee Airmen in Philadelphia by Robert Kodosky.
After leaving the Military he was employed by General Motors Corporation, Chevrolet Division at their World Headquarters, and retired from the corporation after a period of satisfactory employment assignments.
Aaron serves as Tuskegee Airmen Philadelphia Chapter Treasurer and is a member of their speaking bureau program which has carried him to various military bases, colleges, high schools, Fed-Ex world headquarters and organizations telling the Tuskegee Airmen Story.
Aaron has several pictures in the book “Tuskegee in Philadelphia rising to the challenge” about the Tuskegee Airmen in Philadelphia by Robert Kodosky.

TONY MORELAND-SECRETARY
Tony Moreland is an Executive Board Member of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen Inc. He chairs two Committees, Membership and Youth Programs, as well as the role of Financial Secretary. He has served and supported the Chapter members and activities since 2005. Tony brings passion, leadership, and communication skills to Greater Phila. Chapter in the areas of Youth Programs and Finance Committee business. Having served under three Chapter Presidents, we entrust him to share wisdom and uphold our vision to preserve this incredible legacy and empower today’s youth. Although he’s among our youngest Board Members, he has three decades of diverse professional experience in Civil Service and the U.S. Air Force Reserves. Tony is still actively employed in both careers while also raising three incredible children with his beautiful and supportive wife of 24 years.
In the civilian realm he has been employed for 33 years, with the City of Philadelphia, managing tens of millions of dollars in municipal contracts, employees, and equipment. For the military, he amassed 5,800 flying hours in 36 years as a combat-qualified Flight Engineer on KC-10A Air Refueling Aircraft and three models of C-130 Cargo Aircraft. This range of experience in various communities of profession makes Tony a key figure in our endeavor to increase membership among the youth, active military and young professionals in the Philadelphia/Tri-State area. Our continued existence and growth lie with him, and the entire Executive Board, to ensure the legacy of those 10,000 heroic men and women who make up the Tuskegee Airmen Experience.
