What an incredible experience at the IYNAUS Convention 2026 ✨
We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this gathering so meaningful — from the teachers and organizers to every practitioner who shared their energy, wisdom, and love for Iyengar Yoga throughout the week.
We’re returning to Iyengar Yoga Asheville feeling inspired, recharged, and excited to share what we’ve learned with our students and community. Thank you for being part of this beautiful journey with us 💛

Do you recognize some of these faces?? 👀

IYNAUS extends heartfelt thanks to every practitioner who set aside time to join us in Philadelphia and online for Convention 2026.

What unfolded over these days was more than a gathering. It was a living tapestry of study, community, laughter, courage, connection, and shared practice. Every class attended, every prop carried, every conversation in the hallway, every moment of stillness helped create the atmosphere that made this convention so special.

Thank you for bringing your presence, your curiosity, and your practice. You helped turn the convention halls into something luminous. ✨

Until we meet again on the mat. 🫶

A skilled touch in yoga is never just physical.

It’s a conversation. A direction. A wake-up call to parts of ourselves we didn’t realize had gone quiet.

Sometimes a simple adjustment can completely transform a pose. Not because the shape changes dramatically, but because awareness suddenly reaches somewhere it couldn’t before.

The body responds. The breath changes.Space appears where there was gripping.Intelligence awakens where there was habit.

In those moments, yoga stops feeling mechanical and becomes deeply alive.

A skilled touch doesn’t force the body. It illuminates it.

Day 2

“Habits are a disease.”
— BKS Iyengar

“Are you reacting or are you responding?”
— Abhijata Iyengar

This was the question Abhi opened Day 2 with, and it stayed with us through the entire practice.

How often do we enter a pose already decided? Already reacting through habit, memory, fear, ambition, or comfort?

Instead, we were asked to listen.

To respond to the messages of the body rather than react from conditioned patterns.

The whole practice became an exploration of awareness:
Can we pause long enough to observe?
Can we stay present enough to respond intelligently instead of automatically?

Sometimes the deepest work in yoga is not doing more. It’s interrupting the old reflexes long enough to experience something new.
