Theater of Witness is an innovative form of testimonial theater developed by Founder and Artistic Director Teya Sepinuck, in which the true stories of people whose voices haven’t been heard in society are shaped into original theater productions, and are performed by the people themselves. Performers who have survived trauma, marginalization, oppression, and/or just the complexity of the human exp

erience, address some of society’s most challenging issues. These stories, performed by a diverse group of performers in spoken word, music, movement, film and imagery, are woven together into dynamic theater that humanizes the ‘other’ and cultivates compassion and empathy. The result is authentic, raw and powerful theater that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit.
