From May 9–12, our Save a Life International team gathered in the Lviv region of Ukraine for a spring staff retreat. It was a meaningful time of prayer, encouragement, training, and rest for the people faithfully serving women and families during war.
Life Center directors, administrators, social workers, volunteers, and several staff families traveled from across Ukraine to be together. Every day, these teams walk alongside women facing crisis pregnancies, displacement, financial hardship, trauma, and fear. They provide practical help, emotional support, and the hope of Christ to mothers who often feel alone. But those who serve others also need moments to be poured into, encouraged, and reminded they are not carrying this work by themselves.
This time together was a reminder that even in the middle of uncertainty, hardship, and exhaustion, God continues to strengthen and sustain this mission.
Throughout the retreat, the team spent time in prayer, worship, training, and fellowship. They participated in leadership discussions, social work and administrative sessions, tactical medicine and marketing training, and practical conversations about the growing needs within the Life Centers. Most importantly, they had time to listen, encourage one another, and seek the Lord together.
One participant shared:
“This retreat reminded me that each Life Center is part of a larger mission. It was encouraging to hear from other cities, learn new tools, and return to service with renewed strength.”
Your prayers and faithful support made this retreat possible. Because of your partnership, the people serving on the frontlines of this ministry are being refreshed, equipped, and strengthened to continue caring for women, children, and families across Ukraine with compassion and Christ-centered hope.
Thank you for standing with us, praying for our team, and helping carry this mission forward. We are deeply grateful for the way God continues to work through this community!
