Join us for Girard College’s 250th Legacy Celebration!

On Friday, December 4, 2026, Girard College will host a special evening at historic Founders’ Hall, commemorating 250 years since Stephen Girard’s arrival in America in 1776 and celebrating his enduring legacy of philanthropy, education, and opportunity.

This milestone event will honor two extraordinary leaders whose achievements, commitment to service, and community impact reflect the values of Girard College:

Kenneth C. Frazier
Chairman of Health Assurance Initiatives at General Catalyst and former Chairman and CEO of Merck & Co.

David J. Adelman
CEO of Campus Apartments, Co-Founder and Vice Chairman of FS Investments, and Founder of Darco Capital.

Together, we’ll celebrate their accomplishments while highlighting the transformative power of education and the importance of investing in future generations.

A sweet way to bring our Girard College community together! Our students and their families gather on campus for a fun-filled weekend activities like this past Ice Cream Social! From building the perfect sundaes to enjoying music, laughter, and quality time together, it was a wonderful opportunity for our students to connect with family, friends, and the Girard community.

A special thank you to our Residential Life team for organizing such a thoughtful event and creating opportunities for our students and families to come together. It’s moments like these that remind us that Girard College is more than a school. It’s a community, and it’s a family.

Last week, our Girard College Girls’ Tennis Team took to the court, and we had the opportunity to recognize two of our seniors, Skye and Channing!

We are incredibly proud of these young ladies for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to the team. As they enjoy their final season as Cavaliers, we celebrate their contributions both on and off the court and wish them continued success in all that lies ahead.

The Victory in Philly Free Basketball Clinic is returning to Girard College on Sunday, October 25, bringing an exciting opportunity for young athletes to work on their skills before the start of basketball season.

The clinic is open to boys and girls ages 9–14. It is free clinic and will take place from 2:00 to 4:00 PM in the Armory at Girard College . Participants will have the opportunity to learn and connect with the basketball community in an encouraging and energetic environment.

We are excited to welcome Victory in Philly back to campus.

Congratulations to a very own at Girard College alumni!!

Repost Cheyney University of PA CHEYNEY, Pa. — Student advocacy at the nation’s first Historically Black University is grounded in active representation, accountability, and community building. Jeremiah Price, a Communications major with a concentration in American Political Studies, was elected by the Class of 2030 as Freshman Class President for the 2026–2027 Academic Year at Cheyney University of Pennsylvania. 

Hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Price steps into class leadership with a clear vision centered on student welfare, peer engagement, and institutional unity. An active leader within the NAACP, Price brings a commitment to civic engagement and campus advocacy to his role. His agenda for the term focuses on enhancing collaboration across the freshman class, addressing residential life concerns, and establishing sustainable solutions for campus living. 

Through proactive leadership and open communication, Price aims to bridge student needs with administrative action—ensuring a solid foundation for the Class of 2030 while leaving a clean slate and seamless path for future generations of Cheyney Wolves.
