Our Closet In Your Neighborhood

Host sites include churches, synagogues, hospitals, community centers, and agency partners. There are no referrals required or forms to fill out.

Our Closet In Your Neighborhood (OCIYN) is a free mobile program that provides those in need across the Philadelphia region with the basic necessities of food and clothing, as well as access to services and benefits. The OCIYN bus visits host sites in under-resourced neighborhoods and central locations with fresh, healthy produce and pantry staples, a mini pop-up clothing shop, and an onsite socia

l worker. All free, quality food and clothing items are provided with dignity and respect in a warm and welcoming environment. OCIYN also provides customized packages of emergency clothing delivered straight to those in need, as well as food package delivery to homebound clients.

What an amazing day! We were so honored to celebrate the opening of our new "small closet" at the Reentry Center in Northeast Philadelphia, in partnership with the Philadelphia Dept. of Prisons. This new space offers individuals reentering the community after a period of incarceration a welcoming, dignified space to shop for the clothing they need, helping them feel confident, supported, and prepared as they take their next steps! Thank you to everyone involved!

Summer cleaning? The OCIYN van will be back at The Barbara and Harvey Brodsky Enrichment Center collecting your gently used clothing donations! Meet Leondra at the OCIYN van in the parking lot on Tuesday, July 28 from 10am-12pm. We are in particular need of kids' shoes, men's clothing in all sizes and women's plus size clothing.

Meet Ray Smith, OCIYN’s new Program Manager!

A Philly native, Ray first connected with OCIYN as a volunteer before officially joining our team four months ago. With a background in fitness industry management, he brings strong leadership, positive energy, and a commitment to helping others thrive. Outside of work, Ray is an artist at heart. He loves painting and expressing his creativity through art.

What inspires him most about OCIYN? “Having the opportunity to serve those in need.”
