Cure Mental Illness - Temple University CMI-Temple is a student organization that is part of the national mental illness education and advocacy group Cure Alliance for Mental Illness

CMI-Temple is a student organization focused on mental illness research. Our mission is to unite people at Temple and in Philadelphia to:
-Educate the public and policymakers about mental illnesses as brain disorders
-Advocate for scientific research to understand mental illnesses
-Work toward safe, effective treatments for those suffering from mental illnesses

Primarily we seek to co

rrect the disparity between the global disease burden of mental illness and the allocation of federal funds for mental illness research. This starts with a grassroots movement and public education of the need to support mental illness research. With this approach, we aim to simultaneously empower researchers to find better treatments and combat stigma associated with mental illness.
