The Dude Hates Cancer - Philadelphia, PA

The Dude Hates Cancer - Philadelphia, PA The 14th annual The Dude Hates Cancer charity bowling tournament in Philly takes place Saturday 9/21/ If you will it, it is no dream!

For many of us, there are few places in the world that breed stronger feelings of nostalgia and comfort than the local bowling alley. The slick-soled shoes, the thundering crackle of pins careening off one another, and the smiling faces on bowlers of all sizes summon memories of past glories on the lanes. The Dude Hates Cancer (TDHC) packages everything we love about this national pastime-- the ca

maraderie, the music, the post-strike dance moves, and the competition-- into an event that serves an even greater purpose: raising money and awareness for blood cancer research. All money raised goes to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education, and patient services. This year, TDHC Philly expects to build on last year's success and we've set another lofty goal: $75,000 for LLS! This year's finale bowling tournament will take place on Saturday, September 24, 2016 and team registration is now open. Visit www.thedudehatescancer.com for full details and to sign up today. We hope you'll join in the fun while raising money for this wonderful cause!

Say it isn't so. We're shocked and saddened to hear the news of Jeff Bridges' diagnosis with lymphoma.

When this campaign started, we never imagined The Dude would have cancer. Cancer just keeps giving us reasons to kick its ass.

He's been there for us in support through the years, and we're here for him now. Grateful to hear the prognosis is good. We wish him all the best. You've got this, Dude.

Jeff Bridges revealed on Twitter Monday that he's been diagnosed with lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system. He said his "prognosis is good."

After a day for giving thanks, and a day for getting deals, is a day dedicated to giving back. Give hope! This is why we bowl, why we do what we do. Any contributions will still help TDHC hit our campaign goal for 2019 and fund critical blood cancer research - https://events.lls.org/pages/epa/tdhc19

But whether you start a fundraiser, or spend some time volunteering for a local charity, or donate a few bucks to support any of the causes you care about, we hope you’ll participate in this global movement in your own way 😎✌️
