On Thursday, February 12, 2026, our auxiliary had the honor of serving residents at the Wesley Enhanced Living (Stapeley) Facility during their Valentine’s Social. The day was dedicated to engaging with residents (EVERYONE received a Red Rose) and providing nutritious refreshments. The entertainment was phenomenal. The staff team was exceptionally warm and welcoming, contributing to a positive and convivial atmosphere. The event was enjoyed by all who participated. Special thank you to Amica Nicole Stevenson for coordinating an awesome event.

On Monday, January 19, 2026, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, our auxiliary had the privilege of serving residents at the Care Pavilion Nursing Facility of Philadelphia in collaboration with our (Zeta Friends) of our sponsoring chapter Beta Delta Zeta. The day was dedicated to engaging activities, including playing R&B Bingo, sharing a video of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivering his historic “I Have a Dream” speech, and singing the Negro National Anthem, “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” It was a meaningful and enjoyable day for all who participated.

Zetas/Zeta Amicae Go Red for Women

Cardiovascular disease kills more women than all forms of cancer combined, and yet only 44% of women recognized a cardiovascular disease is the greatest threat.

Most cardiac and stroke events can be prevented through education and lifestyle changes, such as moving more, eating smart, and managing blood pressure.

51.9% of high blood pressure deaths, otherwise known as hypertension, or the silent killer, or in women, and out of all women, 57.6% of black females have hypertension - more than any other race or ethnicity.
