BIG NEWS! Brisket = Pepper, Pepper = Brisket!

Brisket, whose real name is Pepper, came to us from ACCT Philly last week after she was found as a stray. Turns out, she had snuck away from her home a couple days before coming to us and her family was looking everywhere for her. Fortunately, they found our posting about a dog named Brisket who bore a striking resemblance to their dog and who had the same medical needs. They provided us with every family members’ phone number so they wouldn’t miss our call. 🥰 PEPPER is now back home with her ecstatic family who knows they can give us a call should they ever need anything. She now has an updated microchip and a fresh haircut. Stay home, Pepper!

Meet our new guy, Max! 🤍

16-year-old Max was surrendered due to his owner having to relocate internationally. His owner reached out hoping to find a soft landing for Max, especially since he had also lost his lifelong dog housemate a few months ago and has seemed down. These are huge changes for a little old dog. But Max landed a great foster home where he’ll have plenty of time to settle in and adjust. He’ll soon head to our vet for a full veterinary work up. Stay tuned!

Tomorrow is prideonpassyunk! We hope to see you on the 1600 block of Passyunk Ave. from 1-5pm. The event features over 85 vendors and artists, live music and drag shows, food specials, and more up and down Passyunk Ave.

City of Elderly Love will be there with adoptable senior pets and kittens by Kyles Cat Fund, new merch, giveaways, and more! 🌈

WELCOME PEQUENO!

This little guy was found as a stray and brought to ACCT Philly. He’s completely blind and has likely been dealing with pain and pressure in his eyes for some time. Luckily, Philadelphia Animal Hospital made room for him on Monday’s surgery schedule so we can get him feeling better as soon as possible. Despite probably being pretty uncomfortable, Keno is a sweet and social little guy!

BRISKET IS SAFE!

She got a bath then hitched a ride to safety this afternoon! Brisket was brought to ACCT Philly as a stray with a number of health issues that need to be addressed before going to her future home. In addition to mammary tumors, she also has dental disease, chronic dry eye, cataracts, and an ulcer. We’ll get her squared away medically and feeling better in no time!
