My Memory of attending an event at The Philadelphia Eastern Penitentiary Museum as part of the audience.

Brother Dice Raw of (The Roots) was the “Keynote,” speaker; he also shares some of his raps.

He shared his tour with Sister Michelle Alexander, author of “The New Jim Crow.”

Dice, presented a question to the audience. He called on me to answer.

He was so moved by my answer he asked me to come forward to share my experience of “landing in prison,” as a 19 year old for my first “criminal offense.”

I was just recently released from prison after serving an “unjust sentence,” of 30-60 years.

I truly thank Brother Dice, for permitting me to share my story on his platform.

Most of the audience were “white people.”
