(Bridges of Health) is a nonprofit that promotes the health and wellness of Philadelphia’s rapidly growing Latinx immigrant population through high-quality health care, innovative educational programs, and community building. We’ll share more about them soon.

The numbers are tallied… drumroll please 🥁

At our 11th Muhibbah Dinner, we raised $10,233.97 for ! This was our highest amount EVER raised at a Muhibbah Dinner!

Huge thank you to all the chefs and guests who helped make it so meaningful. Every Muhibbah Dinner reminds us just how powerful community and a shared meal can be.

And now for the big news:

Tickets are officially LIVE for our 12th Muhibbah Dinner on Monday, February 16th (yes, Presidents’ Day — we’ll let you decide if that was on purpose or not 😉).

We’ll be announcing the location and chef lineup soon, but in the meantime, grab your tickets now at muhibbahdinners.org because as you know, we sell out every dinner!

Dinner is family style, BYOB, and full of delicious flavors and beautiful stories. You won’t want to miss it.

Those who joined us at our last Muhibbah Dinner were greeted with this beautiful poem at their seats by . It moved us so deeply that we wanted to share it with everyone. 🍐❤️

Bosc
i like melancholy
i like autumn leaves
painted over the asphalt
i like gray and concrete
i like the whiz of cyclists
slicking over wet
trolley tracks
i like stoic lips and staid
eyes affixed to the horizon
for an early sunset
in purple and sienna
i like when the wind
pulls the smoke from

the window while the
six o’clock news buzzes
to no attention be-
hind my ignorant ears
i like the walls

Yesterday we told you we were sharing our last meet the Muhibbah Dinner chef — but turns out we were keeping a little secret. 🤫

We have a surprise for you — of will be joining our fabulous chef line-up to provide dessert! 🎉

Here’s a little more about Chef Mardhory Santos-Cepeda:

Watching someone’s eyes light up when they try her pastries never gets old for her. Mardhory puts her entire life in each pastry that she makes pulling pieces from her childhood with her Grandmas in Brazil, the fancy culinary techniques she picked up in the fine dining scenes, and her love for foraging she picked at farm to table restaurants. Mardhory started baking when she was four years old; she played so much with dough and flour that her uncle suggested she go to culinary school. There, she fell deeper in love with the precision and technique it takes to make pastries. She still studies and learns about it today, striving for the perfect balance of flavors in a way that keeps her culture alive.

Mardhory does it all to see the smile on her guests’ faces, and she can’t wait to serve dessert at Muhibbah Dinner on Tuesday 3.25.25 at in support of . ❤️
