Our upcoming event is tomorrow, Monday 25th, when we participate in the Yardville Groveville Memorial Day parade. This parade is the second-oldest in the nation. Many of our members have marched in it for over 30 years. Let's all take a moment to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our great country.

Our next event will be on Saturday, May 16th. We will be assisting Brandywine Battlefield with their Amazing Race. You can find us at Birmingham Hill, across from the Birmingham Hill Friends Meeting House. We will be demonstrating musket drills and discussing the Battle of Brandywine in 1777.

A very nice day. We had the pleasure of being an honor guard for Dr Benjamin Franklin on the 236th anniversary of his passing. We would also like to thank Richmond Solomon Masonic Lodge & there Worshipful Master for their hospitality after the event.

Our upcoming event is scheduled for Saturday, April 18th, at Christ Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where we will serve as the Honor Guard for Dr. Benjamin Franklin. We are grateful to the Richmond Solomon Masonic Lodge for its invitation to participate.

While we are still working on pictures from Bound Brook, we wanted to share that a number of members of the 9th were interviewed by PBS for their Newshour program. We look forward to sharing the footage when it airs and give you all an inside look at reenacting and the 9ths involvement in the celebration of our nations 250th birthday!

The 9th Pennsylvania Lyght Infantry is hosting a Drill Day on Saturday, March 28th, at Brandywine Battlefield in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania from 9am to 4pm for current and prospective members. E-mail us at [email protected] if you would like more information.

The 9th spent this past weekend at the
Boy Scouts of America - Cradle of Liberty Council Annual Pilgrimage and Encampment. Scoutd rolled cartridges, participated in drill, practiced tomahawk throwing (an important tool for Lyght Infantry) and experienced camp life as a soldier in the Continental Army. As our nation begins its 250th Anniversary of Independence, we are proud to share the story of our founding with Scouts and the public alike!
