Being a single mom is like giving birth for the first time - you know millions of women did it before you, you just wonder how they did it. As a single mom, you have to be twice as good and you can't fail because your kids depend on you. When it comes to money, your margins are lower and at a greater risk. When you are sick, you have no one to be sure you can hand the kids over to at short notice.

In your household, there is just you with the responsibility. How do you handle the pressure? My story is long and sometimes tougher than it had to be. For twenty years, I have been a single mom. I have no regrets. I would not change one single moment because my kids are my pride and joy. I take all the credit. I love to share how I did it with you. All I have learnt can't be for nothing. There is no shame in being a . Maybe grief after a break-up, but never shame. You are not alone.
