🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day! On July Fourth, we celebrate our country's service men and women and the independence they were willing to sacrifice their lives for. Their strength, bravery and love for this country have helped preserve the freedom we enjoy every day. As we celebrate this holiday with friends, family, food and fireworks, we take a moment to acknowledge those who continue to defend and inspire us all.

Today we celebrate Memorial Day, a day set aside to remember those who Abraham Lincoln observed gave “the last, full measure of devotion.” We’re here today because of them.

The Board of the Ms. Harcum Share the Love Foundation pay thoughts, prayers and respect to our Fallen Soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom. I personally love history, especially World War Two history. If you get the opportunity, please read the biographies of two of our brave and awesome military men. Captain Alfonzo Davis (below) was a Tuskegee-trained air pilot; his missions include reconnaissance and strategic flights and he flew escorts for large bomber squadrons. He was reported missing in action on October 30, 1945 at the age of 25. ... Navy cook Doris “Dorie” Miller was awarded the Navy Cross on May 27, 1942 for his heroism during the Pearl Harbor attack. In November 1943, he was killed while serving aboard an aircraft when it was sunk by a Japanese submarine (age 24) ... We are grateful to these heroes, and all our war heroes, who died courageously and passionately while defending our Country❗️🙏🇺🇸
