ften require expensive treatments and medications that can cost thousands of dollars annually, even after insurance. For many families, the financial burden extends beyond medical costs. Frequent doctor visits, hospital stays, flares, and side effects from immune-suppressing medications can result in missed work, adding to the strain. Additionally, some families must travel out of state to access specialized pediatric care, further escalating travel and accommodation expenses. Every child deserves the chance to live a full, healthy life, and every family should have the support they need to thrive. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of children diagnosed with rheumatic disease and ease the hardships their families face. IMPROVING ACCESS TO CARE
Abby’s Army is dedicated to improving access to care for children with rheumatic diseases. We collaborate with pediatric rheumatology centers to help families cover the cost of essential medications, medical devices, and doctor visits. By removing financial barriers, we ensure that every child has the opportunity to receive the care they need to thrive. EASING FINANCIAL BURDEN ON FAMILIES
The financial strain of pediatric rheumatic disease can extend far beyond medical bills. Parents often face lost wages due to frequent doctor visits, hospital stays, and caregiving responsibilities. We offer critical financial support to families, helping with rent, utilities, and other living expenses so they can focus on their child’s health and well-being. SUPPORTING PARTNERSHIPS THAT IMPROVE OUTCOMES
We proudly partner with the Pediatric Rheumatology Care and Outcomes Improvement Network (PR-COIN). This initiative improves outcomes for children with rheumatic diseases and equips families with practical self-management resources. Through this partnership, we’re fostering a brighter future for children and families affected by these conditions. FUNDING FAMILY CONNECTIONS AND RESOURCES
No family should feel isolated when managing a child’s rheumatic disease. That’s why we support the Arthritis Foundation’s programs, which connect families with others who share similar experiences. These programs provide access to valuable resources and create a sense of belonging for families navigating pediatric rheumatic disease.

Registration includes practice ranges and locker rooms opening at 10am, lunch, noon shotgun start, carts, forecaddies, contests (hole in one, closest to the pin, longest drive), refreshments during play, cocktail hour, dinner, and golfer gifts.
We keep you moving and make sure everything is wrapped up before 7pm.
Abby's Army provides financial assistance to families of children diagnosed with pediatric rheumatic disease and funds programs that improve care and outcomes for kids battling these diseases. Pediatric rheumatic disease includes lupus, juvenile arthritis, scleroderma, juvenile dermatomyositis, vasculitis, Kawasaki disease, mixed connective tissue disease, and more.

Excited to share this year's event t-shirt! 🌳

Everyone participating in the 6th Annual Golf Outing or our Walk to Cure Arthritis team will receive one of these shirts. This year, I switched things up from our recent animal themes and designed a Tree of Life to represent growth, connection, community, and resilience.

Join us Monday, May 18 at Manufacturers Golf & Country Club in Fort Washington, PA, for our 6th Annual Golf Outing. All money raised goes toward our mission of helping families of children diagnosed with pediatric rheumatic disease who are treated at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Penn State Health, Levine Children's, Children’s Mercy Kansas City, and Seattle Children's.
