Congratulations to Holly Fernandez Lynch C'03 GR'06 L'06 on being awarded the 2026 Greenwall Foundation Bernard Lo Award in Bioethics, a prestigious annual honor recognizing significant achievement in bioethics research. Holly currently serves as Associate Professor of Medical Ethics in the Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy at the Perelman School of Medicine. Her research focuses on Food and Drug Administration (FDA) pharmaceutical policy, access to investigational medicines outside clinical trials, clinical research ethics, and the ethics of gatekeeping in health care.

A hearty congratulations to Greta Wiessner L’19 on her new role as Senior Staff Attorney at Gender Justice! Prior to this position, Wiessner was a civil rights attorney at Robins Kaplan LLP, a Minneapolis firm.

On August 3, the Law School welcomed 130 bright and exceedingly accomplished lawyers from 35 countries, regions, and territories, who together make up the impressive LLM/LLCM Class of 2027.

The newest cohort also includes two LLCM students, including one Penn Carey Law alum, and three incoming SJD students, with one having earned two degrees from the Law School as a member of the LLM Class of 2024 and LLCM Class of 2026.

A hearty congratulations to Norman Pearlstine L’67 on receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Reporters Committee for the Freedom of Press. Norm has had a remarkable career in journalism, most recently servign as Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officer at Time Inc. He also held senior positions at the Los Angeles Times, Bloomberg L.P, Forbes and The Wall Street Journal.
