🤩 More than 200 parents, students, and school leaders from across Pennsylvania gathered in Harrisburg this week for the Teach PA Advocacy Mission, speaking directly with lawmakers about scholarships, school security, and STEM funding for nonpublic school students. 🏛️📚

We had the opportunity to hear directly from , who addressed our delegation on the importance of Jewish identity and representation.

The mission was even featured as Pic of the Day in Jewish Insider’s Daily Kickoff newsletter, a powerful reflection of the voices our community brought to the Capitol. 📰✨

Now lawmakers need to hear from the broader community. These priorities are not yet guaranteed in the final state budget.

We were honored to bring State Representative Jim Prokopiak to Abrams Hebrew Academy for a tour and conversation about the importance of Jewish education, advocating for all students, and feeling safe as a Jewish kid at school. Thank you to .jimprokopiak for joining us, and the Abrams parents (and alumna) who joined to share their experiences.

Teach PA welcomed to yesterday to highlight the Federal Education Tax Credit, a proposal that could expand scholarships and make nonpublic education more affordable.

For families to benefit, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro must opt in. Teach PA is continuing to work with policymakers and partners to help move this opportunity forward.
