We are so proud of this team. Most people donโt realize how challenging this game really is. These kids practice all year for one tournament.
The week of the tournament, they spend hours practicing on Sunday, then wake up every morning at 5:45 a.m. to head to the rings before competing from 8:30 to 12:30. After that, they practice again in the evening.
They play in the heat. They all lose games at some point. They all make bad shots. Every match requires constant focus โ making sure they follow the rules, walking the ring to find the best shot, positioning their hand correctly, and aiming carefully.
There are moments when the physical and mental exhaustion catches up with them, and a few tears are shed along the way.
They are so encouraging to each other. If they leave without a crown, somehow that only makes them more determined. They walk away motivated to get back in the ring and practice more.
