Today marks TWELVE YEARS since Ms. Vickie Ellington went missing!!

Ellington was last heard from when she texted friends stating that she was going to meet someone in Louisville, Mississippi. Ellington made the drive from her hometown, Kosciusko, Mississippi. The drive between the two towns takes less than an hour. After not hearing from Ellington, her friends became worried and began looking for her. Her friends located her Chevrolet Suburban in the Wal-Mart parking lot in Louisville, Mississippi. Her purse was inside the vehicle so her friends immediately reported her missing.

Authorities reviewed surveillance video taken from the Wal-Mart parking lot. In the video, Ellington’s Suburban is seen parking in the parking lot, Ellington exits the vehicle and begins walking towards a McDonald’s and Taco Bell before walking out of the camera’s range. Ellington never returned to her vehicle and has not been seen or heard from since.

Ellington was the guardian of and was raising her 8-year-old grandson. She also owned a gym in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Ellington never made it to meet up with the person she planned to meet in Louisville that day. Her case remains unsolved at this time.

Vickie Ellington is a white female with light brown or blonde hair. She is 5'7'' and weighed 150 pounds at the time of her disappearance. Ellington also wears eyeglasses.

If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Ms. Ellington or the circumstances surrounding her disappearance please call Attala County Sheriff’s Department at (662)289-5556.

End The Violence-Remembering Our Loved Ones

I lost someone that was very dear to my heart August 25th, 2018, from that moment on my life has been completely changed. Megan Elizabeth Staats, was one of a kind and the greatest friend you could ever ask for. Not only did Megan lose her life, but so did Jeremy Apperson, who was only getting gas with his family. It flipped our little town upside down. The more I would think about it, the more God layed it on my heart to help these families in some way. I put together the first event, so the families have a day strictly for their sweet loved one that was taken for a senseless reasoning. This day is for those lost due to homicide, and for the families to get some kind of comfort out of it. It lets the families also meet with other family and friends whom have experienced the same kind of hurt. Coming together to let everyone know the violence needs to end, and to just show those in our community and our surrounding, how many of our loved ones must be taken to show enough is enough. We also have available preachers and licensed counselors for counseling and for those that want to change their lifestyle. Thank you all and God bless.
