Center for Public Interest Journalism The Center for Public Interest Journalism is a resource for journalists and citizens interested in monitoring the public life of the Philadelphia region.

The mission of the Center for Public Interest Journalism is to advance the practice of public affairs journalism. It focuses on the evolving journalistic organizations and practices in the Delaware Valley during a period of rapid change in information technologies, journalistic business models and press practices. It recognizes that new media provide the opportunity for a more diffuse network of

journalistic voices than was characteristic of pre-Internet media. It aims to support and strengthen the ecology of such a network of journalistic voices in this region as well as to contribute to national discussion on the evolution of journalism.
