How do you spend 32 years in prison? ⛓

George Martorano, the longest incarcerated non-violent offender, spent his 32 years becoming a self-taught prolific writer, poet, educator, and mentor. Despite serving life without parole, he sought to become a role model and a positive influence in the Federal Bureau of Prisons, where he helped over 8,000 inmates graduate.

His story is one about overcoming the odds when everything seems to go against you and never losing sight of hope, no matter how dark times might seem.

If you're interested in hearing about how he gained the strength to push forward even in the hardest times of his life, check out his TEDx Talk here: https://youtu.be/lnuoHywbaR8
