Tyrese represents this city so well through the way he shows up, gives back, and truly believes in the power of community. His mindset of getting 1% better every day is one we love at 12 Plus, too: small steps, big growth, and believing in what’s possible.

The night was extra special seeing Keven, a former 12 Plus student who is now working with 12 Plus, share a few words alongside our CEO, Raymond John.

The next chapter of 12 Plus is bringing us to Southwestern Pennsylvania!

Through the generous support of The Heinz Endowments, 12 Plus' expansion marks an exciting leap in the organization's growth and impact as we join 3 brand new communities – Aliquippa, Cornell, and Clairton High Schools.

Southwestern Pennsylvania is new ground for 12 Plus, but the mission has not changed: making sure every student, no matter their zip code, graduates with a real plan and the support to see it through.

Meet Solana!

Everything we do at 12 Plus starts with one thing: build a relationship. The advice we offer, the resources we bring, and the support we give are all rooted in understanding who are students are as people first.

From Solana's student: "I wasn't planning on coming here everyday but now I am glad I did. Ms. Solana has been such a light for me throughout my senior year. Not only did she advocate for me but she listened to me when I just needed to vent. I will always cherish the memory of Ms. Solana helping me everyday with my senior project. [12 Plus] makes coming to school easy because they are good people who want the best for us."

Meet Michael!

We’ve always believed that our students are our greatest ambassadors-- so why not make it official? Michael shares how The LINC launched its inaugural 12 Plus Ambassadors Program last year!

"The Ambassador Program gives students a chance to influence the programming and events we offer, spread the word amongst their peers about what 12 Plus can do for them, and develop and practice skills such as public speaking, organizing, creating, collaborating, and advocating."

Meet Josue!

High school is already pretty challenging, but navigating that while learning a new language can be especially difficult. Thankfully, our students have a community of educators and peers who understand and are here to help with that process.

“At Eastside, we see how our teachers are constantly striving to engage with their students beyond the classroom, pushing them to learn tangible skills such as self-advocacy and confidence. We see how our students are creating their own spaces that allow for them to rely on each other, to rely on the community that they themselves built.”

🎓 And now for our Camden, NJ schools - congratulations to the Class of 2026! 🎉

We’re so proud to celebrate this year’s graduates and all they’ve accomplished. Reaching this milestone is the result of years of hard work, perseverance, and the support of dedicated teachers, counselors, families, and communities.

At 12 Plus, it’s a privilege to help students discover what’s next, whether that’s college, career training, military service, or another path that aligns with their goals. Watching our seniors take this next step is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

Meet Grace!

Senior year often feels like a whirlwind of decisions and deadlines. But working with high school students— and offering thoughtful advising— requires one thing beyond all else: patience.

"Being in a school every day is not just about having access to students, it is an essential part of how we can build relationships and trust with them. Growing these relationships took time, and with a few of my students, they didn’t open up to me about their post secondary aspirations or worries until the last month (or even the last week) of school."
