Philly Indigenous Peoples Day.

Philly Indigenous Peoples Day. Philly Indigenous Peoples Day Committee was founded (2011). It Marks a time to Recognize the Strength of Our Spirit to continue on.

Philadelphia City Council unanimously supported, PA Senate Resolution NO.157, and PA House Resolution NO.186 recognizing every first Saturday in October as Indigenous Peoples Day! "Philly Indigenous Peoples Day" is a day to Honor and Celebrate the Rich Heritage, History and Culture of The Indigenous Peoples of North, Central, South America and The Caribbean islands. It is a day to Recognize and Te

ach about the atrocities that have occurred to American-Indian peoples through Colonialism and are still occurring today. Above all, it is Our Mission to Share Our Rich Culture & Heritage thereby Educating The World and Empowering Our Youth. As We look towards Our Future, We Will be Partnering With other Organizations involved in The Arts in an effort to spread Awareness & Enlightenment.
