Our grantee, Asylum Pride House, is a nonprofit dedicated to providing wraparound services to support LGBTQIA+ immigrants. In Philadelphia, APH offers a long-term housing program that is dedicated solely to housing LGBTQIA+ immigrants.

With a $50,000 investment from PCEH, APH will continue serving vulnerable communities in Philly.

"The PCLT was born out of the housing takeover and homeless encampment protests of 2020. As a result of a five-month campaign, housing organizers with Philadelphia Housing Action and OccupyPHA won a settlement with the City of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Housing Authority who agreed to transfer over 50 vacant publicly-owned houses to a community land trust for use as low-income housing."

Asylum Pride House was created to the fill the gap in resources available to LGBTQIA+ asylum seekers in Philadelphia. APH fulfills this mission through offering transitional housing, necessary initial resources, wellness programming, and comprehensive case management services.

Our grantee, Philadelphia Community Land Trust (PCLT), is dedicated to advancing the human right to housing through the removal of land and housing from the market, preserving it for community use through democratic self-management by residents and community members who align with their principles.

With a $30,000 grant from PCEH, the Philadelphia Community Land Trust will expand their operations and support upgrades to their existing housing units.
