Yesterday was our final LIPP session and field trip to Baltimore, MD for a Black Heritage tour. We began at the Great Blacks in Wax Museum and then the Reginald Lewis Museum who was the 1st Black billionaire 💵. Afterwards we dined on the Harbor at Hard Rock Cafe. It was an empowering and educational experience for our ladies to learn our more about our historical journey.✊🏽

Saturday the Jarell Christopher Seay Love and Laughter Foundation traveled to V & S Lanes for our LIPP bowling 🎳 party. These ladies enjoyed themselves without being attached to their phones. They even said they didn’t think they would like it but had fun. That what it’s all about having fun, being active and sharing Love and Laughter. Next week- Baltimore, MD.

Today our LIPP Ladies traveled to Germantown for a visit to the Lest We Forget Museum. Thanks to Ms, Gwen Ragsdale, museum curator, for walking us through American history which was very revealing and eye opening to our youth. Long live the memory of our ancestors who paved the way “ Lest We Forget”.✊🏽

We’re back! Part 2 of the 💋LIPP💋 started today and we had a blast. Our LIPP Ladies learned about etiquette, manners, self-care and respect. Thanks to Lisa Stokes and Wawa for our lunches today. Shout out of thanks to Penn Medicine Community Cares for the water bottles. Our program will hit the road for the rest of the month. Next week- Lest We Forget Museum.

What’s your pitch? Today our LIPP Ladies learned how to turn their ideas into cash with Dr. Nicole Rayfield. The girls made a mini business plan, introduced themselves, and pitched their ideas to buy into their business. They also learned about Sarah Rector and Mikaila Ulmer, founder & CEO Me and the Bees 🐝 lemonade. Our ladies finished off the session to make necklaces and received their Seay Swag bag for their participation over the past 5 weeks. See you in in June for LIPP 💋 part 2 as we hit the road. Today’s LIPP session Health and Nutrition with Dr. Rachel from CHOP and Dr. Sophia from Temple. Dr. Rachel talked with our ladies about calories, fats, reading labels and making wise choices. Dr. Sophia followed up with a game of Jeopardy which was both fun and educational. Shuntece ended our session with a lesson on growing your own food. It was another great day with the Jarell Christopher Seay Love and Laughter Foundation.

What another awesome Saturday with the LIPP program guest Shameka Sawyer from the 5 Shorts Organization. Shameka taught our ladies about filmmaking, photography, and production. The ladies fell right into the vibe and had the opportunity to get behind the camera, speak to an audience, and take professional photos. Shout out to Danielle Shaw Ogelsby for the acting 🎭 video to inspire and empower our ladies. More pics and videos to come☺️
