What’s your pitch? Today our LIPP Ladies learned how to turn their ideas into cash with Dr. Nicole Rayfield. The girls made a mini business plan, introduced themselves, and pitched their ideas to buy into their business. They also learned about Sarah Rector and Mikaila Ulmer, founder & CEO Me and the Bees 🐝 lemonade. Our ladies finished off the session to make necklaces and received their Seay Swag bag for their participation over the past 5 weeks. See you in in June for LIPP 💋 part 2 as we hit the road. Today’s LIPP session Health and Nutrition with Dr. Rachel from CHOP and Dr. Sophia from Temple. Dr. Rachel talked with our ladies about calories, fats, reading labels and making wise choices. Dr. Sophia followed up with a game of Jeopardy which was both fun and educational. Shuntece ended our session with a lesson on growing your own food. It was another great day with the Jarell Christopher Seay Love and Laughter Foundation.

What another awesome Saturday with the LIPP program guest Shameka Sawyer from the 5 Shorts Organization. Shameka taught our ladies about filmmaking, photography, and production. The ladies fell right into the vibe and had the opportunity to get behind the camera, speak to an audience, and take professional photos. Shout out to Danielle Shaw Ogelsby for the acting 🎭 video to inspire and empower our ladies. More pics and videos to come☺️

Today was an awesome day of fun, education, and sports with the JCSLALF Foundation LIPP Program. Theme for today-Sports R Us. Our ladies started out with fitness bingo, learned how to play the sport of fencing 🤺 with Coach Roan from the Black Woman in Sports Foundation and we ended the afternoon to see the 76’s win against the Brooklyn Nets. Shout out of thanks to BWSF and PENN Medicine Club Suite. We had a ball.

What a day with the Jarell Christopher Seay Love and Laughter Program LIPP program. Today’s theme: Safety and Friendship. Our LIPP ladies had a lesson in self defense with professional MMA Fighter, Ms. Jamie Miller. They also learned about Georgia Ann Robinson the 1st Black police woman and Dr. Ashanti Johnson an ocean safety Officer and the first Black woman to earn a Ph. D in oceanography. We ended the session with each LIPP lady to create a family emergency communication plan. Next week: Fencing with Black Women in Sports Foundation.
