PPH kicked off its 2026 Fight Against Alzheimer's with a Co****le Tournament, with all proceeds benefiting the Alzheimer's Association.
Eight teams made up of residents and team members competed in the friendly tournament, and it was the Alpha resident duo of Lorraine and Virtner who claimed the championship title!
We thank Lorraine, Virtner, and all of the donors and participants who helped make the event a success. 💜

EMS professionals work tirelessly, always ready to answer the call. Their skill and dedication play a critical role in improving outcomes for individuals and the communities they serve.

We're grateful for all EMS professionals — especially the VMSC Emergency Medical Services team, which provides emergency care here at PPH — for their quick thinking and compassionate care when it matters most.

Scenes from the PPH Prayer Breakfast ✨

Prayer and faith helped establish PPH, and our monthly Prayer Breakfast continues to sustain that legacy.

Held on the second Saturday of each month (except during the summer) at 9 AM, this special gathering brings together residents across all levels of care, team members and friends from the community for a morning filled with:
🍳 A delicious breakfast
🎶 Hymns and prayer
🙏 An inspiring message from a local pastor or speaker each month

Most of all, it’s a time of fellowship and connection.

June’s breakfast — scheduled for Saturday, June 13 — will be the last gathering until September. We hope you’ll join next month, and we hope to see you in the fall! Tickets are available in the PPH Business Office or at the door ($8.50).

Each May, we observe Older Americans Month, a time to recognize the contributions and resilience of the individuals we serve.

This year’s theme, Champion Your Health, encourages older adults to take an active, mindful approach to their well-being — through physical activity, healthy eating, social connection, and more.

At PPH, we are proud to support healthy aging through a wide range of amenities, events, and programs. From our Wellness & Aquatics Center to our Cranium Crunch class, and social opportunities like our Walking Club across our 13-acre campus, there are many ways for residents to stay engaged and prioritize their health.

We’re also inspired by individuals within PPH who embody this spirit. One PPH resident, Marge Sexton, recently co-authored "12 Steps to Mindful Aging," a reflective guide to navigating and embracing the aging process. Through personal stories and insights, her book highlights the importance of mindfulness and self-awareness as part of living well at every stage of life.

Together, we celebrate the many ways older adults continue to champion their health every day.

We are proud to celebrate National Nurses Week with two of our longtime partners — Serenity Hospice PA and American Heritage Credit Union.
Our team enjoyed coffee courtesy of Serenity ☕ and ice cream 🍦 courtesy of American Heritage. And congratulations go out to Kathy and Omari, the winners of American Heritage's raffle drawings!
We extend our sincere thanks for their generosity and for helping us honor our nurses— and all of our team members — who many a difference every day at PPH.
